That the work in which I take the least pride tends to be the most well-recieved?

Not always. It tends to be the case that when someone I respect as an artist gives me any feedback, we tend to agree on which of my photos are better than others. But there aren't very many people who fit in that category, in all honesty.

So that leaves everyone else, who like the things I see as meaningless, pointless, invalid, or just plain bad.

Which means that in staying true to myself, I will almost inevitably starve to death.
